I’ve taken my rabble-rousing about the B.C. Legislative Library to the next level and started a new blog, Save the LLBC, to gather information about the issue. In case you missed yesterday’s rant, the B.C. government is planning, in all its wisdom, to convert its library (which I’ve heard say is the most beautiful in the country) in favour of prestige office and party (i.e. wine and cheese) space. What really gets me is that 20 years ago the government commissioned a report that concluded that converting the library to offices would not solve the space problem in the long term, and that was when there were 14 fewer MLAs!
